Our scheduled temporary move to full remote learning will conclude on Friday, December 4. Based on our review of the weekly COVID 19 Activity Level Report and our most recent discussions with our local departments of health, students and staff will return to in-person instruction on Monday, December 7. As I outlined in my November 20 update, our schedule may change depending on updated guidance from the State or our local departments of health. Additionally, we are planning another temporary move to full remote after the winter break. Specific details will be shared next week.
Your cooperation and adherence to our guidelines remain critical to our ability to resume a safe in-person program for our students and staff. Please take the time to review and to familiarize yourselves with our newly revised screening guidelines. Most importantly, please be sure to contact your school nurse if any of these factors apply to your student and/or family:
Students and staff should stay home if:
They have tested positive (viral test) for COVID-19 or are awaiting test results (even if there has been a negative rapid test).
Someone in their household is being tested for COVID-19 due to illness or has COVID-like symptoms. All siblings in the household who attend HVRSD must stay home (they may return if that person’s test results are negative).
They are exhibiting any COVID-19 compatible symptoms. All siblings in the household who attend HVRSD must stay home.
They have been in contact with a person with COVID-19 or COVID-like symptoms in the past 14 days or have had potential exposure to a person with COVID-19.
They have traveled to an area with high levels of COVID-19 transmission in the past 14 days:
