Hour of Code will be next week 12/4-12/8

The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts. At BT, students will participate in a number of fun activities geared toward piquing interest in coding and computer sciences.

Educators, Support Professionals, and Educational Service Professionals of the Year

Is there a staff member in the school that stands out to you as someone that really makes a difference to the children (and parents) at BT? BT has so many amazing teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, secretaries, nurses, counselors, and specialists that contribute so much to making BT a great school. Nominating these staff members will give them the recognition they deserve.
Nominations are due to Mr. Turnbull by Fri. December 8th. Nomination forms can be found on the district website and in the main office at BT.

BT Winter Concert Wed. December 6th

All 4th and 5th graders have been preparing for the concert since September, building their vocal and instrumental skills while enjoying making music with their peers in weekly rehearsals. We can't wait to see BT students perform and show all the musical skills they have learned and perfected. We hope to see you there!

All band and orchestra students are to report to their warm up room with their instruments, folders, music and books by 6:30 PM to have their instruments tuned.

Wild West Book Fair: Books are rootin’ tootin’ fun to read!
Parents, please come shop the book fair in the main hallway during the Parent-Teacher Conferences:
Friday, November 17th, 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Monday, November 20th, 1:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Children will be able to shop the book fair during specified school times on:
Thursday, November 16th and Friday, November 17th
Parent volunteers are needed and greatly appreciated to help students shop the fair!

BT's Annual Veterans Day Ceremony

We will be celebrating community Veterans, and any Veteran with ties to Bear Tavern (family members, friends, neighbors, etc.) with a ceremony on Wednesday, November 8, at 8:45 am. Following the ceremony, the PTO is sponsoring refreshments for the Veterans and their families. If you would like to attend, know someone who would like to attend OR would like to honor a Veteran who is no longer with us or cannot attend, please RSVP via the form emailed to your by Mr. Turnbull. We’ll be making a slideshow to honor Veterans who cannot attend, so RSVP even if your Veteran is not available to attend, so that you can honor his/her service!

BTPTO Glow Run/Walk

Introducing the BTPTO Glow Run/Walk at BT school grounds. Have fun with your BT friends while taking a nighttime Glow Run/Walk! Sign in begins at 5:15 pm. Every participant receives a glow necklace, runner's bib, and light refreshments after the race.
